FAQs

Below you will find some frequently asked questions for Laurel Lock Campground.

Q: Do you allow dogs at Laurel Lock?
A: Yes, we do allow our camping families to bring their dogs (a maximum of two) when they camp at Laurel Lock. Of course all the normal rules apply: You must pick up after your pet. Please provide proof of rabies vaccine at check in. Dogs must be walked around the campground on a leash and dogs must be kept from being a noise nuisance. Guests of campers are not allowed to bring their pets to camp. Aggressive dogs will need to be removed from the property.

Q: Do you allow camp fires?
A: Yes. Campfires must be contained to the fire place, kept at a reasonable size and must be extinguished before leaving site. Connecticut requires campers to purchase firewood from the local area. We have seasoned wood available for purchase in our camp store.

Q: Do you have cabin or RV rentals?
A: No.

Q: Do guests need to pay to visit?
A: Yes. Guests must register and pay guest fees in the office before entering the camp. Guest fees are $8 for a day visit and an additional $7 if they choose to stay over night.

Q: What utility connections do you offer?
A: All our seasonal sites offer expanded-basic cable connection, water, sewer and electric. All of our transient sites have water, electric and cable connections with some including sewer hookups. We also provide free usage of our dump station to our campers.

Q: Do you allow people who are not a family unit to camp at Laurel Lock?
A: We do consider Laurel Lock to be a family campground but occasionally we have couples who wish to rent sites. Our camping fee is based on a family unit of dad, mom and their 4 children under 18 who live at home. All additional people pay guest fees.

Q: Do you have a pool?
A: No, however, Laurel Lock has two swimming areas for it’s campers that are located in a beautiful, spring-fed lake. One swimming area is for families and the other is for adults only.

Q: Do you allow fishing off your docks?
A: Our insurance company does not allow campers to fish off our docks however there are several areas where we can suggest you can cast a line into Gardner Lake without needing a boat.

Q: Do you offer a cable tv connection?
A: All Laurel Lock’s sites offer expanded basic cable included with their site.

Q: Do you have wi-fi?
A: We offer free wi-fi at the campground rec hall. Seasonal campers who need on-line access can contact our telephone provider to receive a high-quality wi-fi connection to their site.

A: We do offer planned recreation on the weekends.

Q: Do you rent dock slips for campers bringing their boats?
