Laurel  Lock’s  2017  Season  Events  Calendar

The following is a list of events the campground is planning for the 2017 camping season.   Lots more events will be listed in Laurel Lock’s weekly newsletter The Chatter.   Laurel Lock reserves the right to change dates, times, venues and events. 

 

May

May 27th, Saturday, TBA.  Sweet-tooth Hayride   Buy a sweet from the camp store and climb on board the hay wagon.

 
27th, Saturday, 8-11 p.m.  Come to the gazebo at the campers’ beach to hear the live music from Mixed Signals, the first band in our Bands On The Beach concert series playing southern and classic rock.  Event will be in the rec hall in case of inclement weather. 
 
28th, Sunday, 10 a.m.   Memorial Day Weekend Horseshoe Tournament

28th, Sunday, 8 p.m.   New Campers’ Reception  Join us for a reception to welcome our new seasonal campers and workampers.

 

June

10th, Saturday, 6:30 p.m. Everything Italian Pot Luck Supper   Make your favorite Italian recipe and bring it to the rec hall.  
 
24th, Saturday, 7 p.m. Karaoke   Come to the rec hall to sing, listen and be entertained.  

 

July

1st, Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Band On The Beach and BBQ.   Come and hear Double Play, a local band that plays country and so much more.  Burgers and dogs and all the fixin’s will be for sale from the grill.
 
2nd, Sunday, 10 a.m.,   Joe Sisco Memorial Horseshoe Tournament  
 
2nd, Sunday, Ice Cream Hayride   Watch the Chatter for details on a meeting time and place.
 
15th, Saturday, Halloween   Kids, dress up and trick or treat your way around the campground.  Campsites who want to give treats (or tricks) hang an orange pumpkin at your site. 

29th, Saturday, Golf Cart Rally   Sign up to participate.  Always an event for spectators and participants to enjoy. 

 

August

 
5th, Saturday, Campsite Crawl   Sign up to host a brief party or climb aboard the hay wagon that travels from campsite to campsite. More details to follow in the Chatter. Adults only.
 
12th, Saturday, 7 p.m., One-Man Circus In-A-Suitcase   A show you won't want to miss. Bring the kids and the whole family to participate in an enthralling, whimsical celebration of the imagination.
 
19th, Saturday, 8-11 p.m., Jeff Pitchell and Texas Flood.   Come to the gazebo to listen to live music from the region's top R&B band;

 

September

 
2nd, Saturday,  8 – 11 p.m.   The Bands On The Beach - The 70's Project a concert series culminates with the band that plays only music from the 70's. Dress in 70's-style attire and see if you can win a best-dressed award.
 
3rd, Sunday, Labor Day Weekend Horseshoe Tournament
 
4th, Sunday, Hayride   Get ready to climb on board the hay wagon.

16th, Saturday, Pot Luck Dinner   Prepare and bring a large dish to share with your camping friends. Make it one of your favorite camping recipes.;
